Tuition
What’s on offer to learners…
Jewellery-making has been my most exciting adventure yet, and I’m thrilled to share my passion with you! I truly believe in the power of learning new skills (yes, the teacher in me is showing!) and passing them on – who knows where a new skill might take you?
My journey started after my grandad left me a little money, which I used for a 1:1 session with an amazing jeweller in North Wales. I learned the basics, made my first silver ring, and was hooked! I couldn’t stop, so I booked more sessions, enrolled on college courses, learning everything from stone-setting to creating unique bezels and textures and started making as many different things as I could, so I could develop buy own style.
So, here I am. It is now my turn and I am offering new skills and experiences to those of you with creating in your blood. I have not once regretted learning how to work with metals and stones and I hope to give you the chance to feel the same way too!
Textured Pendants
If you’d like a fun, easy introduction to jewellery making, this two-hour session is a great place to start. You’ll design and create your own copper pendant, learning how to prepare, shape, and finish your metal into something made by your own hands.
Textured Bangle Making
This two-and-a-half-hour session is a great introduction to planning and making a slightly larger piece, while still being suitable for complete beginners. You’ll design and create your own simple bangle, learning techniques such as measuring, shaping, forming, and finishing to create a beautifully wearable piece.
Full Day Beginners Techniques
This full-day beginner session is a great introduction to jewellery making and a chance to really get hands-on with a range of core techniques you can build on at home.
In the morning, you’ll learn how to cut, anneal, texture, shape, and finish metal. After a break for lunch, you will be guided through designing and creating your own unique piece of jewellery—whether that’s a pendant, earrings, or something else entirely.
Single Stone Setting
If you’re looking for a relaxed, creative way to explore stone setting, this three-hour workshop is a great place to start. You’ll design and create your own simple silver ring featuring a single round stone in a tube setting.
Throughout the session, you’ll be guided through key techniques such as measuring, shaping, soldering, and finishing your ring. You’ll then learn how to prepare and set your stone securely within a tube setting, creating a clean, modern design and a beautifully wearable piece.
All the materials you need for one stone-set ring are included in the price.
Earring Making
This beginner session is a chance to explore texture and cutting techniques while creating up to three pairs of earrings in copper. Over three hours, you’ll learn how to cut, anneal, texture, design, and finish your pieces, as well as how to make your own sterling silver ear wires so each design is completely your own.
Make A Ring
If you’re looking for a relaxed, creative introduction to jewellery making, this three-hour workshop is a great place to start. You’ll design and make your own simple silver ring, learning key techniques like measuring, shaping, soldering, and finishing, starting in copper before moving into silver.
Stacking Ring Making
Spend a full day developing your jewellery-making skills to create a set of three stacking rings, each with its own texture or simple embellishment. This workshop is a focused and rewarding introduction to jewellery making, teaching you key techniques such as measuring, forming, soldering, texturing, and finishing.
In this beginner workshop, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to create your own earrings and beaded bracelets. You’ll work with wire, learning how to anneal and draw it down, before making your own headpins, ear wires, and jump rings. You’ll then use these techniques to design and create your own earrings, pendants, and bracelets.
Working With Wire
Workbench Wednesdays
Workbench Wednesdays are open exclusively to those who have attended a jewellery making course with me and don’t yet have their own workshop space. Running from 6:30–8:30pm, these sessions give you two hours to practise and develop the skills you’ve already learned in a fully equipped studio environment. I’ll be on hand for advice and guidance, but these are not teaching sessions—this is your time to make and explore.
You’ll have access to a fully set-up workshop, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and the occasional biscuit and cuppa.
